She is passionate about fighting the stigma surrounding mental health concerns and building relationships with her patients. Hannah has seen what a huge impact psychiatric care and an empathetic provider can have in a patient's life once they seek care. Since conditions like anxiety and depression can manifest physically before a patient realizes there's a psychological component, they might not know how to ask for help at first. Mental healthcare is still stigmatized and people are often ashamed or reluctant to ask for help. Hannah Eason's favorite patient encounters during her clinical training appeared to be about physical issues but revealed mental health concerns at the root.
